PHOTO TIPS
Scanning
Photos:
Most scanner software presumes
that you want a copy for printing on paper. For web use, however, change
"resolution" to 100 dpi (dots per inch). Scanning at the lower resolution
makes for smaller files to be emailed/uploaded.. but they'll display on
the web at about the same height and width.
(Very small photos, if scanned
at the "default" rate of 300 dpi, will display as though enlarged.) |
Photos
on Disc:
For web use, make smaller
copies sized to 6-800 pixels wide. This will make for much smaller files
that, while easier to email/upload, will display at the same height and
width.. |
Uploading
Photos:
Photos can be uploaded directly
to the CMAH web site. Please contact the webmaster for instructions. |

Taking
Pictures:
Never take a picture that
includes the sun, a light fixture or a lamp. Primary light source should
be behind camera, because camera adjusts to the brightest area.. then makes
everything else (especially us?) darker. |
