PHOTO TIPS
Scanning Photos:
Most scanner software presumes that you want a copy for printing on paper. For web use, however, change "resolution" to 100 dpi (dots per inch). Scanning at the lower resolution makes for smaller files to be emailed/uploaded.. but they'll display on the web at about the same height and width.

(Very small photos, if scanned at the "default" rate of 300 dpi, will display as though enlarged.)

Photos on Disc:
For web use, make smaller copies sized to 6-800 pixels wide. This will make for much smaller files that, while easier to email/upload, will display at the same height and width..
Uploading Photos:
Photos can be uploaded directly to the CMAH web site. Please contact the webmaster for instructions.
Taking Pictures:
Never take a picture that includes the sun, a light fixture or a lamp. Primary light source should be behind camera, because camera adjusts to the brightest area.. then makes everything else (especially us?) darker.
